Flowers Falling From The Sky by Elle Pervez - This nightscape is inspired by views of the recent Lyrid meteor shower enjoyed from my home in country Victoria. You have to get your eyes used to the dark for the best chance of enjoying nature’s light show and I loved the way the stars would shine bright, and other lights from the sky would drop towards the horizon.
I have used metallic paints and gold foil to capture the essence of the lights in the sky, and their shining decent to earth during the pitch of night. I have stepped away from warmer colours here, making her a little different to my usual palette, but my sister and brother in laws reaction has me thinking I am on to a winner - they loved it!
