Choosing Wonder by Elle Pervez - This piece is a little love letter to the view I’m lucky enough to look at every day here in country Victoria, but it’s also about a feeling. I wanted to capture that conscious shift in perspective, the moment you decide to look past the noise and simply choose joy. It’s grounded in those familiar rolling hills and sweeping trees out my window, but alive with a dreamy, foreground of peach and pink blooms. For me, it’s a visual reminder that even on ordinary days, there is so much magic to be found if we just look for it.
This artwork is chockers with texture - though it is always tricky to capture in a photograph, I do believe my sunshine snaps with their shadows show you just how much paint is loaded on the canvas to give you an artwork that is leaping off the canvas - literally!
